Running over the October long weekend at Hastings Valley Motorcycle Raceway, the meeting will include classes from Pre-75 to Pre-95 as well as support events of Veterans & Open modern bike racing. 2016 VMX Rnd 4 – Mt Panorama

WOW! That was cold, -3 cold! Racing motocross on a frozen track with snow in the adjacent woods is not a usual occurrence for the Heaven VMX club but a hardy group of members braved the cold and raced what turned out to be a sensational meeting on a track that dried up just enough to be super tacky. It’s official, we love this track and those of you who didn’t make it missed out big time. We will definitely be back (perhaps in a warmer month though)....

2016 VMX Rnd 3 – Cessnock

What a weekend to remember. Great weather, great racing and an awesome track. It was an absolute blast to have multi time Australian Champ Craig ‘Ando’ Anderson come and race with us, and what a top guy he is. We are very happy his lovely wife Katrina (who is just as much a ‘Motocross Tragic’ as we are) and their kids came out to experience some Heaven Hospitalty. Photo Credit: All Action...

“I just love nice bikes and can’t stop buying them”

“I just love nice bikes and can’t stop buying them”

I wasn’t fortunate enough to race back in the day but I am racing now and loving it. I have more bikes than I want to admit but the main two I race are my Yamaha YZ250H in the EVO class and my Yamaha YZ250L in the Pre-85 class. The Heaven crew are a great bunch of people and the camping, camaraderie and of course the racing are the highlight of my month each month of the season. Brad – (600)

“Best fun I’ve had in 30 years”

“Best fun I’ve had in 30 years”

I found VMX by accident. I was searching eBay for a minibike for my son’s 9th birthday and kept seeing this term VMX. When I Googled it, I found this site. When I went to one of the race meetings to have a look, as soon as I heard the roar of the 2 strokes and smelled the 2 stroke oil burning, my adrenaline began to pump again. 2 bikes, a ute, a trailer and a revitalised workshop full of vintage parts later, I have rediscovered why I took up dirt bike riding back in the 70s. It was to have FUN! And my boy and I are certainly doing that now. Ken – (222)
